A scalable learning platform created to help people discover, understand and champion destinations across Wales.
Ambassador Wales began as an idea developed with Denbighshire County Council: to create an engaging way for people to learn more about their local area and become confident advocates for it. From the beginning, the challenge was to build something that could work for one county initially, while being flexible enough to expand across Wales as new partners joined.
We developed the project from its earliest stages, creating the Ambassador Wales brand and designing and building the learning platform around a scalable structure. The website was created to accommodate multiple destinations, courses and partner organisations within one consistent system. We also write and develop course content for participating counties, combining digital design, technical development and ongoing editorial support.
What started as a single-county initiative has grown into a collaborative platform involving destinations across Wales. The participating counties now work together as a partnership, while Artychoke continues to manage the website’s development and evolution. The platform has become a shared digital resource that can grow with the programme, supporting new courses, new areas and an expanding community of ambassadors.
