A refreshed digital presence for one of North Wales’ most distinctive landscapes, bringing a growing website in line with the new National Landscapes identity.
Having previously designed and built the original Clwydian Range & Dee Valley website, we were invited back to rethink it as the organisation adopted the new National Landscapes branding. Over time, the site had grown considerably, making some information harder to find and revealing the need for a clearer, more intuitive structure that better reflected how visitors use the site today.
We redesigned the website around the supplied National Landscapes brand, creating a more contemporary visual style while carefully restructuring the content and navigation. The information architecture was simplified to make key areas easier to discover, with clearer pathways for visitors, residents and local communities. The new design also gives photography and the landscape itself a much stronger presence throughout the site.
The redesigned website feels more modern, coherent and significantly easier to navigate, while remaining familiar to existing users. The refreshed structure makes a large and varied body of information more manageable, and the new visual approach aligns the site with the wider National Landscapes identity while giving the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley its own strong sense of place.
